Jesus is not into long-distance relationships.

You know it’s kind of funny when I post messages that cause people to examine their life and make changes that are challenging and uncomfortable. It’s funny because there is so little response. Yet, if I post a picture of my granddaughter, Adalie, I get tons of response. So, I have an idea…while admiring Adalie’s cuteness, join me in some “tough self-analysis” to create a Godly society for Adalie’s generation. Our world is in chaos and Jesus cures chaos. But Jesus has chosen to use people, people who KNOW Him and aren’t afraid to SHOW Him to the world. With that being said, please read all of this message…and I welcome your comments.

In Luke 22:54-62 we find a mob of the chief priests, temple guards, and leaders who had come to arrest Jesus. As they carried Him off, Peter, followed at a distance. On the way someone accused Peter saying, “This man was with Jesus.” Peter denied it by saying, “I don’t know Him, woman.” Two more times Peter denied knowing or associating with Jesus….something he said he would never do. Just then the Lord turned and looked directly at Peter. At that moment Peter remembered the words Jesus spoke to him earlier; “You will say three times that you don’t know me.” And at that moment Peter went outside and cried bitterly.

In today’s society I wonder how many times we have denied our relationship with Jesus. Whether we are afraid to pray over our meal in public, or we fear the ridicule of people we work with, or friends we hangout with, or even family; it’s all a form of denial. We need to put a stop to pretending to be a Christian on Sunday and becoming worldly during the week. Either we ARE or we ARE NOT a true, sold-out, grounded in His word Christian that has a relationship with God. How do I know this? I know it because in Luke 22:54 it says when they arrested Jesus and led him away to the chief priest’s house…..Peter followed at a distance. That’s our problem today, there are too many Christians that follow Jesus “at a distance.” Jesus isn’t into long-distance relationships. He wants up front, close, personal, and intimate relationships.

HERE IS THE GOOD NEWS — The Lord had already told Peter earlier that satan had demanded to have him and the apostles for himself. He (satan) wanted to “separate” Peter from Jesus as a farmer separates wheat from husks. BUT THEN Jesus said, “I have prayed for you, Simon (Peter), that your faith will not fail. So when you have repented and turned to Me again, strengthen your brothers.” (Luke 22:31-32) THAT is our answer! We must be honest with ourselves so we can realize and recognize the areas in our lives where we are “denying” Jesus. We need to repent, which means “to change our mindset and change our actions.” Then we make the decision to turn to Jesus again… matter what people say or do. And guess what, just like Peter, we have Jesus praying for us….”Therefore He (Jesus) is also able to save to the uttermost those WHO DRAW NEAR to God through Him, seeing that He lives forever to make intercession for them (us).” You are not doing this alone. Jesus has your back!

I’m praying that everyone who reads this will learn from Peter’s experience and choose to make a turnaround and follow Jesus up close and personal; instead of following Him at a distance. And remember, in 15 or 20 years, Adalie will be grateful that YOU made the right choice.

Frustrated about your calling?

When your focus is to pursue and fulfill your calling, you will find that frustration overtakes you. However, when your focus is to pursue and fulfill an ongoing relationship with God, you will find that your calling overtakes you. Always remember, it’s the One who CREATED the calling that holds the key to REVEAL the calling.

They Let The Boy Babies Live

20121203-111044.jpgWhen the children of Israel were slaves to the Egyptians they grew in number to such a degree that the king of Egypt became fearful. He did not want to be outnumbered just in case they turned against him. So, he came up with a solution……

Exodus 1:15-21 (MSG) The king of Egypt had a talk with the two Hebrew midwives; one was named Shiphrah and the other Puah. He said, “When you deliver the Hebrew women, look at the sex of the baby. If it’s a boy, kill him; if it’s a girl, let her live.” But the midwives had far too much respect for God and didn’t do what the king of Egypt ordered; they let the boy babies live. The king of Egypt called in the midwives. “Why didn’t you obey my orders? You’ve let those babies live!” The midwives answered Pharaoh, “The Hebrew women aren’t like the Egyptian women; they’re vigorous. Before the midwife can get there, they’ve already had the baby.” God was pleased with the midwives. The people continued to increase in number—a very strong people. And because the midwives honored God, God gave them families of their own.

WOW! Does this parallel with our modern-day abortion in America or what? OBVIOUSLY, God is pro-life, pro-baby. I know, I know…people will argue, “But THESE babies were killed OUTSIDE the womb. Abortion takes place INSIDE the womb BEFORE it’s a baby.” Really? Can you look at the enclosed picture and, with a sane mind, convince yourself that it is NOT a live baby? Can you listen to the heartbeat inside a womb and still think, “It’s not living yet.” I don’t think so.

Let’s face it, God is pro-life. He likes to show-off what HE creates. And not only that, He was pleased with the midwives, those who “saved” the babies. Because they respected and honored God, the children of Israel increased and became strong. To top it all off…..“because the midwives honored God, God gave them families of their own.” NOW THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!

If we truly respect and honor God, then we will truly respect and honor His greatest creation ever…..people. Every living being deserves a shot at this thing called life…..from the very beginning.

VideoQuip – “I just knew I couldn’t. I just knew I couldn’t. I knew I had to keep him.” Justin Bieber’s Mom When People Told Her To Abort Him.

I am soooooooooo Pro-Life! Why? That’s easy, it’s because Jesus is Pro-Life. He said, “I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.” (John 10:6 MSG) The Lord even told Jeremiah, “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5 NLT) The truth is the truth, whether everyone is in favor of it or not. Justin Bieber’s mom, Pattie Mallette, is glad that she didn’t take the advice of others when they suggested she have an abortion. I’m pretty sure Justin is thrilled as well. Please click the link below to watch a video as Pattie tells her story in an interview. Also, read about her new book, NOWHERE BUT UP, that was released today.

Justin Bieber’s mom, Pattie Mallette, came out with her new book today titled, NOWHERE BUT UP. Here is what her book is all about….

Most people only know her as Justin Bieber’s mom, but Pattie Mallette has had an incredible journey of her own. Many people have heard of her son’s rags to riches triumph. A few know she was a teen mom who had to overcome a drug and alcohol addiction. Even fewer know the rest of her story.

Now, for the first time in detail, Pattie shares with the world the story of a girl who felt abandoned and unloved. Of a teenager who made poor choices. Of a young woman who attempted suicide and could hardly bear to believe that God would ever care for her. One who messed up, got pregnant, and got a second chance. Every reader will find themselves somewhere in Pattie’s painful journey of redemption. They will be encouraged by her example that what was once broken can become whole.

Pattie’s story will inspire readers to believe that even in the darkest of places, there’s always hope. For those who feel unlovable, there’s always love. And for those who believe they’re a lost cause, there’s always room for another chance.

A Healing Truth & An Update / Prayer Request About Me

Back in the boat, Jesus and the disciples recrossed the sea to Jesus’ hometown. They were hardly out of the boat when some men carried a paraplegic on a stretcher and set him down in front of them. Jesus, impressed by their bold belief, said to the paraplegic, “Cheer up, son. I forgive your sins.” Some religion scholars whispered, “Why, that’s blasphemy!” Jesus knew what they were thinking, and said, “Why this gossipy whispering? Which do you think is simpler: to say, ‘I forgive your sins, ’ or, ‘Get up and walk’? Well, just so it’s clear that I’m the Son of Man and authorized to do either, or both. . . .” At this he turned to the paraplegic and said, “Get up. Take your bed and go home.” And the man did it. The crowd was awestruck, amazed and pleased that God had authorized Jesus to work among them this way. (Matthew 9:1-8 – MSG)

As I am in the hospital, for ten days now, and as I wait for my surgery tomorrow, the above passage of Scripture brings everything into proper perspective. So often we make healing difficult. When Jesus told this man, “I forgive your sins” everyone freaked out. Jesus in a very matter-of-fact way says, (my paraphrase) “Fine! If you can’t handle that then I will say it like this…..GET UP AND WALK!” Either way, what Jesus was saying is, “MY WORD HEALS! MY PRESENCE HEALS! ALL THAT IS NEEDED IS FOR SOMEONE TO BELIEVE IT!”

How come when we do something wrong and then ask for forgiveness, we simply walk away KNOWING we are forgiven? Days later, we never question whether “it worked” or not. We didn’t have a “feeling” when we were forgiven. Nor did we “see” any manifestation when we were forgiven. Yet…..we believe we are forgiven. We just believe it. Period.

Well, according to the words of Jesus, forgiveness and healing are completely the same from HIS viewpoint. He is authorized to do both. Why not let today be the day where WE agree with Him and make it completely the same from OUR viewpoint. Believe that He healed you. Just believe it. Amen!

I appreciate your prayers for:

1. Diarrhea to go away now.
2. Surgery tomorrow to be able to be done laparoscopically. Due to previous abdominal surgery scar tissue is a potential problem and requires incisions which are harder recoveries. I have the top surgeon anywhere for this type surgery. He hasn’t had to “cut” anyone since 1994.
3. For my lungs to function 100% before, during, and after surgery.
4. No complications, infections, or other issues.
5. Finally, able to EAT SOON AFTERWARDS! After what will be 12 days of no food, drink, water, or even ice chips….I AM HUUUNNNNNNGRY!!!

Thanks for your prayers and support! Margie and I love and appreciate each and every one of you! Look for good reports soon!
