HOW DO YOU LIVE!
“Stop judging so that you will not be judged.
Otherwise, you will be judged by the same standard you use to judge others. The standards you use for others will be applied to you.
So why do you see the piece of sawdust in another believer’s eye and not notice the wooden beam in your own eye?
Don’t give what is holy to dogs or throw your pearls to pigs. Otherwise, they will trample them and then tear you to pieces. [Matthew 7:1, 2, 3, 6]
“Ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you.
Everyone who asks will receive. The one who searches will find, and for the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
Even though you’re evil, you know how to give good gifts to your children. So how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him? [Matthew 7:7, 8, 11]
Pastor Kevin Kinchen
I once wrote a poem titled “Judging (mental or otherwise)”
We all judge or prejudge each other constantly,
At first meeting or long-time acquaintance had,
And apply rating labels:
Smart/stupid, generous/egotist, friend/foe
Giver/ taker, or simply good/bad.
Once applied, labels are hard to remove
And always leave behind some sticky residue
in the mind that placed them there,
No matter how much acetate of reason
is patiently or desperately employed
The difference between judge and judgmental
Is a narrow, but never colsing gsp.
