Who would you want…

As you know, I’ve had my share of sickness over the years…. like way more than I wanted. However, it’s created a BIG Texas-sized carving in my heart. A heart that wants to see everyone who has the biggest tumor to the person with a tiny broken toe-nail. So, when I come over something in my Bible that jumps off the page, I dive in and let God do His stuff. Read the verse in James 5:15 several times in the King James and the God’s Word. That’s all I am going to say. Write whatever GOD shows you so we can all learn from it. Next week I will share what God showed me.

James 5:15 (Also verses 14 and 16.)

(KJV)  And the prayer of faith shall SAVE the sick, and the Lord shall RAISE HIM UP; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

(GW)  Prayers offered in faith will SAVE those who are sick, and the Lord will CURE THEM. If you have sinned, you will be forgiven.

G4982   (Strong) SAVE
σώζω
sōzō
sode’-zo
From a primary word σῶς sōs̄ (contraction for the obsolete σάος saos, “safe”); to save, that is, deliver or protect (literally or figuratively): – heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole.

G1453   (Strong) RAISE HIM UP, CURE THEM
ἐγείρω
egeirō
eg-i’-ro
Probably akin to the base of G58 (through the idea of collecting one’s faculties); to waken (transitively or intransitively), that is, rouse (literally from sleep, from sitting or lying, from disease, from death; or figuratively from obscurity, inactivity, ruins, nonexistence): – awake, lift (up), raise (again, up), rear up, (a-) rise (again, up), stand, take up.
