Unimpressed with the devil.

3d Devil writes it down

As Christians, we are to “… live unimpressed with the devil, live unimpressed with his success. The enemy works hard to make you aware of his plans. He will leak his strategies so that you live in reaction to the devil. All he wants is for you and me to live in reaction to the powers of darkness.” (Bill Johnson)

Jesus was never impressed by the devil! He didn’t “react” to the evil strategies of temptation, fear, panic, doubt, worry, stress, or defeat whenever He encountered the devil. When Jesus was in the desert, fasting and praying for 40 days, He had three face-to-face encounters with the devil. What did Jesus do? Was He scared? Did He run away? Was He worried? No, He looked at the devil and quoted the Word of God with the authority His Father gave to Him. We now have that same authority in the Name of Jesus. Never forget, the Word of God is ALWAYS TRUTH… the words of the devil are ALWAYS LIES.

When the devil was trying to tempt Jesus, he took Him to the highest part of the temple and told Jesus, “If you are the Son of God, jump! Scripture says, ‘He will put his angels in charge of you. They will carry you in their hands so that you never hit your foot against a rock.'” (Matt. 4:6) OK, read this carefully…. The devil actually quoted Scripture to Jesus. Sounds great, right? Wrong! Remember, the words of the devil are ALWAYS LIES. The devil quoted, Psalm 91:11-12, which says… [11] “He will put his angels in charge of you TO PROTECT YOU IN ALL YOUR WAYS. [12] They will carry you in their hands so that you never hit your foot against a rock.”

Did you see the lie? He purposely left out 7 words (in all CAPS) that change the whole meaning of the Scripture. The TRUTH in those missing Words meant… the angels would protect them IN ALL THEIR WAYS, you know, their travels, while working, even while trying to jump-start a backhoe. BUT NOT while you’re proving who you are to the devil. Jesus knew that. He knew that because He knew the Scriptures. So, what about you? Do you know the Scriptures? The Bible? Let Jesus be your example. Learn from Him. Study His Word. Fellowship with the Father. And start living unimpressed with the devil!
