What are you doing?

Beyond your salvation, beyond reading your Bible, and even beyond going to church… what are you DOING with the fact that you gave your life/heart to Jesus? As Christians, we are called to be different, and to make a difference. When the Apostle Paul left earth he had already “finished his course.” When Jesus left He said, “It is finished.” He finished what His Father gave Him to DO. Likewise, we also have assignments that we must finish. Here are just a few things Jesus gave us to DO before He returns.

Wherever you go, make disciples of all nations: Baptize them… Teach them to do everything I have commanded you… tell everyone the Good News. Throw out demons in My Name, and lay hands on the sick and make them well. Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you. Give to the poor. Always do for other people everything you want them to do for you. Feed the hungry, give a drink to the thirsty, invite a stranger into your home, give clothes to those who don’t have any, take care of the sick, visit those who are in prison, and take care of the widows…. and much more.

Our world needs light and we are that light. “Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.” (Matt. 5:16 MSG)

It’s time to SHINE!
