Why are you here….on earth? What makes you get out of bed every day? Are you just existing or are you living? What drives you to keep going when adversity surrounds you? These questions can be hard to answer. Millions of people live and die without knowing their purpose. I don’t want you to be one of those people. For me, the only way I found my purpose was to go straight to the One who made me, that’s right, GOD. I found myself and my purpose in the Word of God, the Bible. That’s why I always urge people to have an intimate relationship with Jesus and daily time in the Word. You can start today by finding out who you are in Christ and who He is in you. Below are some of my Scriptures that I read and speak over myself. Swap my name out and put your name in its place. Pray them, declare them, study them and meditate on them.
Now that you have a starting place, don’t waste another day just “existing.”
“My life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for FINISHING THE WORK ASSIGNED ME by the Lord Jesus—the work of TELLING (with words) others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.”
Pastor Kevin Kinchen
Kevin’s Identity in Christ:
John 1:12 Kevin is God’s son.
But Kevin received Him, and to Kevin He gave the right to become God’s son, because Kevin believes in His name.
John 15:5 Kevin is a part of the true vine, and a channel of Christ’s life.
I am the vine, Kevin is a branch: If Kevin remains in Me, and I in him, Kevin will bear much fruit: for apart from Me Kevin can do nothing.
John 15:15 Kevin is a friend of Christ.
No longer do I call Kevin a servant, for a servant doesn’t know what his lord does: but I have called Kevin a friend; for everything that I have heard of My Father, I have made known to Kevin.
Rom. 8:17 Kevin is a joint heir with Christ, he shares Christ’s inheritance with Him.
And if a son, then an heir; an heir of God, and a joint-heir with Christ; if indeed Kevin suffers with [Him], that Kevin may also be glorified with Him.
I Cor. 3:9 Kevin is God’s co-worker.
For Kevin is one of God’s fellow workers. Kevin is God’s field, God’s building.
I Cor. 3:16 Kevin is God’s temple.
Don’t you know that Kevin is a temple of God, and God’s Spirit lives in him?
Eph. 1:5-6 Kevin has been adopted by God as His son.
Having predestined Kevin for adoption of a son through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His desire, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He freely bestowed favor on Kevin in the Beloved.
Eph. 1:11 Kevin has an inheritance in Christ.
In Him also Kevin was assigned an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things after the counsel of His own will.
Eph. 2:5-6 Kevin has been made alive with Christ and he is seated with Christ in the heavenly places. Even when Kevin was dead in his trespasses, God made him alive together with Christ, (by grace Kevin is saved;) and raised Kevin up with Him, and made him to sit with Him in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Eph. 2:10 Kevin is God’s workmanship, His handiwork.
For Kevin is His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that Kevin should walk in them.
Col. 1:27 Christ Himself is in Kevin.
To whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in Kevin, the hope of glory.
Col. 3:3 Kevin’s life is hidden with Christ in God.
For Kevin died, and his life is hidden with Christ in God.
