Maybe We Need To Take Up Mountain-Climbing

Have you ever wondered how Jesus was able to have a ministry so successful that it is STILL GOING STRONG today? Or, how He was able to have so many miracles? Well, I have your answer. In Matthew 14 Jesus had just fed 5,000 people with five loaves of bread and two fish; and He had twelve baskets leftover! Read what happens next…

“With the crowd dispersed, He climbed the mountain so He could be by Himself and pray. He stayed there alone, late into the night.” (Matthew 14:23 – MSG)

Notice that Jesus “climbed the mountain” just so He could be by Himself and pray to His Father. Plus, He stayed there, alone, late into the night! I am soooooo convinced that anything and everything can be accomplished with ONE THING…..time alone with God. In the fast-paced, digitally-connected world we live in, being alone is almost a forgotten art. Especially when it comes to being alone with God. Regardless, it is the key to life and all that comes with it.

The highest and hardest “mountain” you will ever climb is the mountain of “quality time alone with God.” But oh what a view on life a person gets from such intimacy with Him. I know in my own life, it is worth the effort….no matter what it takes.
