Having A Bad Day?

Well, it has been a long time since you have heard from me! Sorry about that. We have had a crazy summer here at E-quip and at the Kinchen household. Hopefully we are getting back to a somewhat normal schedule. In the past few months I had a large kidney stone surgically removed and then ended up in the hospital for 16 days to have my gall-bladder removed. We had to cancel some incredible speaking engagements which really broke my heart. I am currently recovering, gaining weight, and….DECLARING THAT WHAT LOOKED LIKE A SETBACK IS ACTUALLY A SET-UP!!!

Listen, I know I am not the only one who goes through “stuff.” I know many of YOU have certainly seen your share of “stuff” too. BUT…guess who else knows what we have been through; GOD. Yes, God. And here is what He says about all the “stuff.”

But as Scripture says: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9 GW)

I’ve told you this so that my peace will be with you. In the world you’ll have trouble. But cheer up! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 GW)

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:4 NIV)

Hear me when I say this, “YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE IT!” You are going through and will make it to the other side! You are NOT defeated because you are a child of God; and we always win. Your setback was a set-up and you are now on your way to a come-back. Don’t give up. Hope in and trust in God.

In Him,

Pastor Kevin Kinchen

  1. Perhaps, with that dog’s problem, this could have been titled, “Ever feel like you’re stuck?” An encouraging message that God can get us out of such situations….thanks!
