Are You Sure Of What You Believe?

“Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This is not a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in. If your little boy asks for a serving of fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? If your little girl asks for an egg, do you trick her with a spider? As bad as you are, you wouldn’t think of such a thing – you’re at least decent to your own children. And don’t you think the Father who conceived you in love will give the Holy Spirit when you ask him?” (Luke 11:10-13 MSG)

This comparison confirms that we are created in God’s likeness and in His image. Jesus conveys the truth that if “we” wouldn’t do bad things to “our” children, then for sure He wouldn’t do it to His! So, when I make the statement that I would never ever put sickness on my kids…it is certain that neither would God put sickness on His! Let it be forever known that God is NOT the author of sickness. Give the ownership of “sickness” to whom it belongs; satan. John 10:10 AMP – “The thief (satan) comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

This is why it’s so important to study the Word of God. Find out for yourself what YOU believe according to what God has said. He will always back His Word with signs following. Don’t let the enemy twist the Scriptures in his attempts to deceive you. Remember, the devil wants to steal, kill, and destroy. One of his prime targets are people who aren’t sure of what they believe. Be a student of God’s Word and enjoy the goodness of God and His abundant life!

In Him,
