An Urgent Prayer Request For The Malloy’s In Nigeria

I received this urgent prayer request (below) from our missionary friends in Jos, Nigeria; Tim and Kelly Malloy. Please pray for them. Thank You!

Dear Friends,

This morning at 7:15 there was an enormous bomb blast that shook our home. We found that a suicide bomber had driven his car into the compound of a very large church a mile from our home, and detonated himself just outside of the church building. Their services had begun at 7:00, but miraculously, they were not killed! Now, after 3 hours, reports are arriving of only 3 casualties, which is incredible! The church that was bombed is called COCIN (Church of Christ in Nigeria), and is the place of worship for our state governor. It is located about ¼ mile from our SIM headquarters. We also have 2 SIM residential compounds that are very close to the bomb-site, whose windows were blown in. They are of course very “rattled.” Also, one of the staff from our children’s school was arriving at church late, right behind the suicide bomber. She and her two small children witnessed the entire occurrence and are quite shaken. (I promise I am not trying to use puns!) These bombings seem to come in groups. PLEASE pray for tight security, no retaliation, the thwarting of Boko Haram’s efforts, and for the angels of God to continue to protect the children of God! We are at peace in our home, praise the Lord. I will update you if more occurs.

In Christ,
Kelly for the Malloys
