Restoring The Lost Art Of Biblical Discipline

One of my favorite things to do is help others fulfill the call of God on their lives. Sooooo many people have helped me so I like to help others whenever and however I can. Today is a day where I can throw my heart into someone else’s vision….and that person is Kim Shawrieh.

Kim Shawrieh

I have known Kim and Odeh and their family for many years. In fact, I recently had the honor of performing the wedding for their daughter, Kendra. Kim specializes in children. And her focus is in the area of restoring the lost art of Biblical discipline. She says things like, “Slow obedience is NO obedience.” She teaches Godly discipline in a way you can understand and also in a way that will make you laugh; a great combination.

Kim has started a new blog titled “Dusting Pockets.” Here is her reason for this:

The purpose of this blog is to give you an opportunity to share in my experiences with children and methods that I have learned to use. These methods have been tried, tested and proven to be successful in pursuing the goal of raising up  children in the fear and admonition of the Lord! This is my passion in life and I desire to be of support and encouragement to any and all who may benefit from my training and experiences in teaching and nurturing children! I am here to testify that it has been a wonderful, successful and memorable experience for our whole family! I desire for you to enjoy all the blessings and pleasures that we have over the past years! God is faithful!

If you have young children (or even teenagers…it’s never too late) or know someone who does, please sign up for her free blog at Just add your email to the FOLLOW BLOG box and then click the FOLLOW button. You will need to respond to the confirmation email you will receive after you sign up. As you enjoy Kim’s blog, make sure you leave some comments on the blog.

Have a great day!

In Him,

Pastor Kevin Kinchen
