What Do YOU Think?

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT……It is estimated that during the life of Jesus here on earth there was an estimated world population of 200 million people. TODAY marks the moment where there is now a world population of 7 BILLION!

In Matthew 9:36-38 it says about Jesus, When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” (NLT)

With 35 times more people on earth now than when Jesus spoke those words, you gotta wonder what He is saying today! My personal opinion is that it’s time to get our eyes off ourselves and start focusing on reaching others, start becoming workers in God’s harvest. Jesus gave His life to reach the 200 million of His time AND the 7 billion of our time. Shouldn’t WE at least give OUR lives so ALL 7 BILLION PEOPLE can benefit from this great love of Jesus? Jesus did His part, I pray we do our part. It’s time to pray for harvesters and then become the answer to our own prayers…by becoming harvesters.

It’s time to get serious, about getting serious about the things of God.

  1. With 35 times more people then there is 35 times as many people that need to see Jesus in us, more people to reach and bless, more people to help meet their needs, more people to love. There is so much hurt in the world but GOD is a BIG God, He just needs us “harvesters” to get it done!

  2. Here’s my prayer, Father – In the name of Jesus, I am thanking you for stirring the hearts of all believers across the globe. That we ALL may have a greater understanding and a deeper desire to be workers in the field. Let it be that we are consummed by Your Glory as we watch You bring the harvest to pass. Amen

  3. Paraphrase: You will do bigger things than I!!! The opportunity to give back has never been greater. So easy to do too. Wish people would be more abundant in the area of generousity. When much is given, much is expected.

  4. I posted in Twitter/FB that God is SHOUTING at me that it’s time for the church to realize its not about the churched, but about the lost. Through you post comes another SHOUT! We can’t do church as usual…we’ve got to quit focusing inward and focus outward instead.
