Pampered Like A Pet!

Two things today. First, in the book of Job, satan is whining to God about how “hard” it would be to torment Job. Chapter 1:9-10 in the Message Bible has satan saying, “So do you think Job does all that (living a holy life for God) out of the sheer goodness of his heart? Why, no one ever had it so good! You pamper him like a pet, make sure nothing bad ever happens to him or his family or his possessions, bless everything he does—he can’t lose!” I love that! Why? Think about it. If Job was “pampered like a pet, blessed in everything he did, and could not lose” under the old covenant, before Jesus, then how good do WE have it WITH Jesus? We are under the NEW covenant! We have Jesus backing us…along with the Father and the Holy Spirit! Now THAT is a winning combination.

I am telling you we are BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE. Because of this “God-initiated” relationship we now have with Him, we CANNOT lose! Amen? Amen! Keep your head up and stay the course because it ain’t over till we win!

Second, I need your input. If you are of the age ranging from your twenties through your thirties (or even early forties) single, married, or divorced, tell me this: What topics do you need wisdom, teaching, or inspiration on? Would it be something like “marriage, or faith, or understanding the Bible, finances, children, or whatever?” Be honest with me and give me some insight on what you young people face in today’s society. I am working on something geared to this age group and the more input I get the better. Email me at: Kevin@PastorKevin.com or Kevinkinchen@gmail.com.

Thank you! Remember, YOU CAN’T LOSE!

In Him,
Pastor Kevin

  1. yes! i love that! New Covenant believers have an Advocate with the Father – no more can the devil come before God to accuse us – everything changed at the Cross! what a deal! thanks for pointing out the big difference between the covenants… if Job was so protected under the Old Covenant – how much more today – and literally how completely different it is for us today… because of Jesus! Yeah, God!

  2. I barely fit in the age category you specified, but God doesn’t mind I imagine, so I hope you don’t either…Anyway, I believe that in answer to your inquiry about what to discuss, the answer is JESUS.. I know that this answer my seem cliche, but I am in the process of discovering that dwelling on Jesus and His finished work on the cross sums everything up….Every problem, scenario, issue, whatever is worked out when what Jesus has done is magnified and discussed. I have been trying to figure out (my first mistake) how all of this makes sense, but it is not figur-out-able. I just does. Anyway, thanks for letting me give an input.
    Blessings 🙂
