When It Comes To Faith, “Dummy-Down.”

Good afternoon and welcome to The E-quip Devotion. Woo Hoo, only about 5 hours until 1,820 copies of our new book, THE SECRET PLACE, REVEALED arrive at our door! All the orders we have received so far will ship out TOMORROW, so get ready. I would love to get your comments on the book once you read it so make sure you email me. Pastor Eddie Smith (A well known Christian author and the one who taught the book-writing seminar Margie and I attended that changed our lives forever.) commented saying, “THANKS for the beautiful new book. It’s wonderfully done. Well written, awesome message, perfect print product!” I am pretty excited about that one! Anyway, go to www.PastorKevin.com to order your copy today. When you purchase it online we offer two methods of shipping at checkout so you can get it super fast if you desire. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO TO HELP US TAKE JESUS TO THE WORLD!

Oftentimes, as we “mature” in our walk with God, we tend to become TOO GROWN-UP with our faith. What do I mean when I say that? Remember when we first gave our lives to Jesus? Remember how you would read the Word of God and BELIEVE IT with no questions asked; no trying to figure out HOW God would/could do it? We just believed as a child does. We lived out Mark 5:36 that says, “Fear not, ONLY believe.” If God said it, that was it. But………..then we educated ourselves. We began to KNOW it all. Our KNOWING was directed to the Lord in the beginning but it eventually veered off to KNOWING “about” the Lord. In a nutshell, we “figured it all out.” Come on, you know there is a lot of truth in what I am saying.

When I first got saved, a tallow tree was growing through my chain-link fence in my backyard. It was ruining the fence. I had tried everything to kill that tree; pesticides, root killers, covering it to prevent it from getting sunlight, etc. Nothing worked. I read in the Bible that Jesus had cursed a fig tree and it was dead the next day. I believed since He did it, so could I. I walked out to that tree and pointed my finger and said, “In the name of Jesus, tallow tree…die!” As God is my witness, the next day that tree was totally dead and never came back to life again. Do I still have that kind of faith today? Do I have that trusting kind of faith that we are supposed to have? I hope so. I want to KNOW Jesus so well that I totally trust Him and believe His every Word, without reservation our hesitation. How about you? I pray all of us would “dummy-down” in this area and follow what Jesus said. “Let the children come to Me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.” (Luke 18:16-17 NLT)

We are leaving to go to the Middle East/Europe next week to train Iranian young people to become home pastors so please PRAY for them and for us. Sorry but I cannot disclose our exact location…but God knows. Pray for safety, health, strength, anointing, favor, peace, and most of all, RESULTS. This venture is “Book of Acts nation-changing” type stuff. What an honor it is to be a part of it. And as you know, I soooooo appreciate your prayers and your financial support that make all this possible. (Oh, please keep praying for my aunt, Lois Ann. She is out of ICU and getting better and better!)
