Good morning and welcome to The E-quip Devotion. It’s official, we are now sending out The E-quip Devotion via this BLOG format. If you are reading this but have not signed up yet, simply add your email address in the Email Subscription Box to the left. E-quip will come to your email box every time I post a devotion. Tell all your friends about it….and your enemies too. (If you are still signed up from the old format via Constant Contact, I will be sending out a “reminder link” for another week or two so we don’t miss anyone. Click the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of the Constant Contact page if the reminders annoy you.)
We recorded our first two TV programs on Friday. It went great! Margie designed an awesome set as you can see below.
We go again tomorrow (Tuesday) so we can record more. Please pray for my voice to be strong and clear, and of course anointed. This door of opportunity has the potential to reach hundreds of thousands of people. Also, we now have the dates in June for my trip to the Middle East area where we will train-up young, newly-converted, Muslims to become house-pastors in Iran. For safety reasons I cannot tell you where we are going for these meetings. I cannot express to you the enormity of the Modern-Day fulfillment of Biblical Prophecy this represents. In Jeremiah 49 Elam is judged severely by God in the last days. Though all seems hopeless for Elam at that time, Jeremiah 49:39 in the Amplified Bible says, “But it shall be in the latter days (the end of days) that I will reverse the captivity and restore the fortunes of Elam, says the Lord.” Well, guess what? Elam in the Bible is believed to be located in our modern-day Iran. We could actually be a part of God’s end-time prophecy coming to pass! I think God is sooooooooooooo incredible for allowing you and me the honor of being a part of HIS plan!
I read a “post” one day on someone’s Facebook page that basically said we ought to “blow up” all the Muslims in Iran because of their belief in Islam and their terroristic ways. Well, having met many of these Iranian young people in my first two trips to the Middle East, I had a HUGE problem with that statement. Why? Do I support terrorism? Of course not. However, the ONLY WAY to cure terrorism is to CONVERT the terrorist to Jesus Christ! (I am not saying all Iranians are terrorists, just making a point about the Facebook post.) So, I posted a response to that person’s comment. I said, “I would be very careful about blowing-up a group of people with whom Jesus Christ Himself is evangelizing.” Let me explain.
I probably met at least 5 Iranian people who said, Jesus Christ Himself walked into their house and said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; not Islam.” One of those people is now a pastor of a home church. I tried to clarify with these people that it was probably a vision or a dream type visitation. No. Not so. One guy, a very smart inventor, said it was broad daylight and he was wide awake when Jesus, in body and spirit, walked into his living room. He immediately surrendered to Jesus….and when his wife found out, she left him. She had moved out for good but showed up at our second conference, still a Muslim, but with her husband. She told me to my face, “I have no idea why I am here.” Well, I knew. Over the next two days she gave her life to Jesus, took communion with us, and was water baptized. Praise the Lord! Yes, I would be very careful about “blowing up” a harvest where Jesus Himself is picking the fruit. After all, when the Apostle Paul was Saul, before his conversion, he thought he was doing God a favor by killing all the Christians. Today, he would have been known as a terrorist. I am glad we didn’t “toast” him, seeing that after Jesus appeared to him, Paul wrote 2/3 of the New Testament.
In the words of the Bible, “God isn’t late with his promise as some measure lateness. He is restraining himself on account of you, holding back the End because he doesn’t want anyone lost. He’s giving everyone space and time to change.” (2 Peter 3:9 MSG)
